Mama's Christmas Present

Hello Everyone!

This is for all the member's of the BORI Family!

I dont have everyone's Email address, so I was hoping this would help get the word out!

I had an idea for a Christmas present for Mama this year. I am sure some of you have heard of Shutterfly.com. They have photo books your can personalize with photos and text. I thought it would be really neat if I could get each family to send me a picture and a little note to mama to put in the book. You could write a thank you note, a note of appreciation, love note or all the above. Just something to let mama know how much we all love her!! It would really be something if we could get everyone to do this. I think mama would just love this!! The catch is that I need to have everyone's stuff in by the 13th of December. Also this could end up costing over $50.00 so if you have any change to spare that would be appreciated. Just a few dollars! Any extra money will be given to mama! If I don't get any responses I will take it as this was a bad idea! Please pass this on to anyone who's email I did not include!

Madilynn's four month check up!

Maddi weights 14lbs 4oz, and is 25 inches long. The first thing the doctor said when he came in was that she is equivalent to a 5 months old. So Fatty Maddi is one months bigger than the norm. But no worries, she is healthy and thriving like no other. She rolls over and plays with her toys and she had rice cereal for the first time this morning. She is also quite the comedian , she will crack up just by you staring at her. The only thing that Maddi and I have to work on is getting her to sleep through the night. If we don't soon my fangs are going to come out:) I love my little mama and cant wait to see all the new things she'll do.

Attack of the Mascara!!!

Gavin got a hold of my Mascara the other day. I didn't rush to take it away from him because I didn't think he could open it. I was proven to be very wrong! He only managed to get it on his face which is a good thing. Also if you look close you can see that he also got a hold of a chap stick.

One of are weekly activity's is going to the park. On this day our friends Karly and Oliver joined us. It was a lot of fun, Gavin and Oliver love to play together. Gavin is determined to make Oliver walk. He will grab him by the hands and pull him ( Its kinda funny). As you can tell they both love the camera. When I would put the camera away Gavin would keep saying cheese and posing, because he wanted more pictures!

We had a very mild Christmas this year. All our family was gone so it was just the four of us hanging out. It was kinda sad really, I miss the fun times we had when all the family was around. But it was good to have a nice relaxing day to spend with my hubby and kids. We opened presents at 9:00am, ate breakfast, took a 4 hour nap and had dinner! I wish I could do that everyday. We took the kids to see Santa and get pictures with him the other day. Well..... The idea of it all was great, but did we get pictures with Santa?? NO!!! Gavin almost died of fright when we tried to put him on Santa's lap. You would have thought he was in pain. So all my efforts were wasted. No big deal, there is always next year! I guess if someone made me sit on some fat old guy with a big white beard, I would probably protest to. Maybe Gavin knew that he was on the naughty list so he was embarrassed to sit with Santa. hehehehehe.. Anyway, I was not going to leave the mall with out some kind of picture. Madilynn's Blessing

We blessed Madilynn on December 7th. It was a beautiful day and an even more beautiful blessing. I think that seeing your baby blessed is one of life's most precious moments. As her mother it is my duty to teach her and guide her, so the blessing she was given will be fulfilled. I hope that she always remembers that she is a daughter of God. Jonathan and I lover her so much and we are so blessed to have her little spirit with us. We thank all our friends and family for sharing the special day with us.

Fatty Maddi

Maddi is 5 and half weeks now. I am a little behind on my posts. On December 1st we took Maddi in for her one month check up. It seems to be that we have a little butterball on our hands. When the nurse told me how much she weighed I almost had her put her on the scale again. At one month of age our darling baby weighed 11 lbs 10 oz. She gained 3 and a half pounds in one month, and added a inch & 3/4 to her height. I never knew how yummy a chubby little baby could be. They are so much fun to squish and cuddle with. So her new nickname in FATTY MADDI!!!

On Friday (Halloween) morning I started having contractions around 6:30am. I didn't pay much attention to them, I figured this could go on all day. So I went on with my regular day. Around 11:00am I was about to head out the door to go get my toes done, so I could have pretty toes for the baby (hehe). well that's when they hit me like a bomb. They were coming every 3 mins. So I decided we better get ready to go to the hospital. Mama came and picked up Gavin and we were off. We had to stop and get lunch because I was starving (bad Idea). We got to the hospital around 12:30pm signed in and 5 mins later my water broke right in the middle of the waiting room full of people. I was soooo embarrassed, but that didn't last long because the pain was taking over. The food I ate on the way to the hospital was a bad idea because it had made its way right back up. Anyway to make a long story short, we got our room and the Epidural. I was dilated to a 4 and stayed there for 6 hours. I was planning on having a v-bac, but that didn't happen. After waiting 6 hours I figured that was enough. So they wheeled me in for a C-Section and Madilynn was born at 8:50pm on Halloween night. She weighted 8Lbs 7oz and was 20 in. long. She is a beautiful baby girl and I am so glad she is here. We love her so much and can't wait to watch her grow up to be a wonderful daughter of God. Gavin also loves her so much and already is the best big brother ever.

We went to pick out our pumpkins on Saturday. But we got there are saw how expensive they were and decided to just still some pics. Then we went to walmart and got ours for half the price. I know we are so cheap, but its just going to end up in the trash anyway:)

We took Gavin to a Halloween festival and tried to get him to wear his costume so he would look cute like the other kids. But of course he was not having it. This is him and Oliver being grumpy butts. ( It was really hot outside, so I cant say I blame them)

Gavin has started this new thing where he pulls Jonathan's clothes out of the closet and drags it around the house and outside saying daddy, daddy, daddy. I suppose he is trying to find his daddy. It's cute but kinda sad, because I know he misses his dad all day.

Last weekend we took Gavin to Seaworld for their spooktakular festival. We are trying to do as many fun things with him as we can before this baby gets here. But of course he was being a huge grump that day. He didnt want to wear his so cute Monkey costume, and didnt want to get out of the stroller for any pictures. He is just to much like is momma. We did get him to pose for a few shots with a candy bribe.

I gave Gavin his snacks when we were on the way home from the store the other day. He seemed to be happy with them because he was quiet. A few minutes later he says Mommy, Mommy. I turned around to find that he was having a lot more fun with his cookies than I thought. He had one stuck right to his forehead! It was so funny I had to snap a pic with my cell phone. (Thank goodness for camera phones)

Shampoo Thief!

So I was at the grocery store the other day picking out some shampoo for Jonathan. I was trying to find one that smelled yummy for him. In the middle of my quest, of course my child had to get out of the cart to check out the other merchandise. While making my final decision of which one to buy, I turn around to find that Gavin had decided to see for himself which shampoo he liked best by pouring some on his head. All I could think was OH GREAT!! We had just started our shopping trip so I didn't want to go home. So I had the great idea to use a wipe to clean it off. This of course turned it into a foamy mess on top of his head. Now I was getting frustrated because I did not want to walk around the store with a kid that had bubbles in his hair. So I just rubbed it in as much as I could to make it look like hair gel, well foamy hair gel... When we got home I gave him a bath and needless to say I didn't need to use any Shampoo.

I have to say I don't think I will be taking any solo trips to the grocery store when the baby is here.

My Cheeks are chubby, I am anything but thin, I am soon going to turn into the Michelin Man! Everything is going pretty good with this pregnancy. I just cant wait for it to be over. I wish I was one of those women who loved being prego. I think it is one of the most tortuous things in the world. Don't get me wrong, I love the miracle I am making I just don't like the discomfort. I cant wait to meet this little girl. I have dreamed of have a little girl of my own since I was just little girl. Hopefully she wont give us as much trouble coming out as her big brother did.

So I have to say that my child is a little strange (no surprise considering where he comes from). He has a weird obsession of sticking foreign objects into the side of his Binky and sucking on it! I don't know where he got this from or why he does it, all I know is that it is very funny. He has been doing this since before he could walk. As if still sucking on a Binky wasn't bad enough, now he has to have little tag along's. I got a few pictures of his latest finds. I'll have to create a blog just for all the things he sucks on!

Gavin and I just got back from a week trip to Utah. We had a really good time hanging out with family. We spent most of are time playing with the cousins and shopping! What could be better than that. I am so glad I got one last trip to Utah in before I have baby number two. Because I don't think I will be going anywhere else for a long while. I almost didn't go because I thought Gavin was going to be a holy terror on the Airplane. That's not something I wanted to deal with by myself. I didn't want someone to kick us off the plan because I had a screaming child. But to my surprise he was actually a complete angel! I almost was not sure I was traveling with the right kid. He was so good, I have alot more faith in him now!

I really miss my family in Utah, and I really miss that freakin bread that Veronica buys. I am going to have to see If I can order it from the company. It was soooo good!! Here are a few Slide shows from our trip! Enjoy!

Baby Updates!

It's definitely a girl!

I went to the Doctors on Thursday to have another Ultrasound done. They were checking to see if my placenta moved up into a normal position. The visit went well, they said everything was good and the placenta was fine (it positioned itself in a good spot). We are also now 100% sure we are having a girl, instead of 95%. That 5% sure made a big difference to Jonathan. The doctor also said everything else with the baby was perfect and she is already measuring in the 60th percentile for weight. I think this might be a big baby! I have also only gained 10lbs which is awesome! I think by this time with Gavin I had already put on 20lbs. But I guess that is what happens when you sit at a desk all day and eat Sonny's.

We still have not decided on any names for this poor little girl. I think we are leaning more towards Bella, but that has not completely stuck with me yet. If you have any suggestions let me know!!! I am hoping one day I will hear a name and just know that it's the one or maybe I will just need to see her first! I am so excited to meet her and can't wait to get her settled into her new family. I know Gavin will just love her, he loves every baby he sees. He is going to be an awesome big brother!

Gavins First Hair Cut!!

Well, I finally broke down and took Gavin to get a hair cut. As some of you may know this was something I didn't want to do. But I was advised by many that he would look much better with it cut. I was just so attached to his little curls I could not bare to see them go. I almost started to cry when they cut them off (silly huh). I have to say he does look better, even though I do miss the curls. According to Jonathan he no longer looks like trailer trash.

I thought we were going to have to hold him down and sit on him to keep him still, but he did sooo good. I was so proud of him. He looked just like a little man sitting in the chair (or should I say Car). I wish he didn't have to grow up so fast, but at least he looks cute doing it.

I am really going to have to learn to cut his hair myself now. I could not believe how much it cost. All they did was cut like 5 strands of hair and charged us an arm and a leg!

I finished the the final book in the twilight series today, and I have to say that is was freakin awesome! I wish there were going to be more books. I cant wait until the movie comes out. I hope that they do a movie for all four books! Just like all the other books I am now faced with dreams for the next two weeks about Bella and Edward! I am now going to read the Host, since i have not had a chance to do so. For anyone that has not read these books, I suggest you do. It is a great way to escape your world for a little while.

The whole Bori clan went down to St. Pete last weekend to hang at the beach. It was a lot of fun and it was good to get away and hang with the family. I just wish Jonathan could have been there. But he had a Baseball tournament that according to him he just simply could not miss!! O-well he miss out on a good time. The girls and I got a chance to sing Karaoke. We sang Any Man of Mine. It was just like old times!! Before we actually had a man!!

Dancing Machine

So we have a dancer on our hands. Gavin is a dancing machine, he will dance to anything! When my cell phone rings he throws his hands up and gets down! He'll dance when I sing or music from TV commercials, really anything that resembles a music he will boogie down. He has been doing this for a while and I kick myself in the butt for not recording it sooner. I say this because he used to do this little chicken dance with his arms. It was sooo cute.... Hopefully he will do it again and I will catch it on tape! I did get a few clips from the other night when we were watching a dancing competition on TV.

A Few Updates!!!!

I finally took Gavin in for his 12 month check up. I was a little scared to get his shots because I had heard from a few people that the MMR shot has been linked to Autism, which is most common in boys. So I was very hesitant to get them done. But I had worried for nothing!! All the hype was completely false!! I spoke with my Doctor about it and he directed me to a website that explains that the study was very incorrect. Hopefully this will help anyone that might be worried. Gavin is weighing in at 21Lbs & 12oz and measuring 30 inches. He's healthy and Happy!!! Although his toe nail did fall off and now his toe looks kinda yucky!! Now he is my little gimp. I just hope it grows back normal or even at all.

I was told by my Doctor the other day that I have a low-lying Placenta, which is also called Placenta Previa. This is when the placenta either completely or partially covers the Cervix. Which means if it does not move up, I might have to go on bed rest and would with out question have to have another C-section. My goal for this baby was to not have a C-section. Which so far everything was looking good for that to happen. I will have another Ultrasound at 28 weeks to see if the placenta has moved up. In most cases it does, so I am not to worried about it. But for anyone that knows Gavin, a C-section would not be so easy this time around and by no means am I saying it was easy the first time.

We have slowed our search for house.. Things were not working out in our favor. We are going to take some time and pray again about our decision to buy a house right now.. It might be the lords way of telling us that we need to wait or that we need to move to Utah ( :) haha I wish about the Utah thing). There is nothing I want more than to move out of our shack and into a real house. But something I have finally learned in my short life is patients. Hopefully soon we will have a house for our growing family. Another huge worry of mine is that the economy might get so bad that it might effect us buying a house. I just have to remind myself that at least I have a happy and healthy family who loves the Lord and that is all that really matters.

Lastly we still have not thought of a name for our little girl. I didn't realize how hard it is to pick out a girls name! I have a few in mind, they are just not sticking with me. Hopefully we will think of something before she gets here, so we don't have to name her something like Provo, or Florida hahahahahahaha JK.....

The past few weeks Gavin has been quite the curious little boy. He has found every and any small space that he can crawl into. It's really kinda funny and amusing. I got a picture of all his finds except for when he pulls out the cake pans and tries to sit inside. He even tries to crawl inside the dryer, but thankfully he is not tall enough yet. If his head wasn't so big he would also be successful at getting his whole body underneath the couch.

WOOO HOOO! I finally got my Girl!! We are so excited to be having a little girl.. Bring on the Dresses and Bows and all the other Pink fun stuff! Now all we need to do is find a name for this little woman!!

MGM Studios

We went to MGM with our friends David and Patrice Hill. We had such a great time it was just soooo freakin HOT!!! Chasing your child around in the hot sun while being Prego is not to fun. Gavin escaped while we were waiting for the parade to start. (Above)

He was way to worried about the Green Army Man to look at the camera. He would not take is eyes off of him!

This was after we went on the new Toy Story ride (which was pretty fun).

We had to get this picture, since Gavin is the mini Yoda. It was Star Wars weekend and there were a lot of weirdo people dressed up in Star Wars costumes. I am sure some died of heat stroke. To bad we never ran into a live Yoda. Gavin even had Yoda colors on, which was not intentional.

Gavin was pretty freaked out from this guy (I am not sure what or who he is supposed to be.) It was pretty funny to watch his reaction. He started crying when we put him back in the stroller. The mean things we do to our kids for a laugh.

Gavin became very fond of Pooh at the gift shop. I think its because it reminded him of daddy:0)

Booboo Alert!!

I was cleaning the house the other day and I took the child latch off the cupboard for less then 30 seconds to get the cleaning supplies. The next thing I know Gavin has the Pledge can and drops it on his Big Toe. The poor kid screamed so loud you would've thought his toe fell off. I know it had to hurt soooooo bad, his toe was red and the nail was black. It pretty much ruined his whole day. I felt like such a bad mommy, but he is such a trooper!

Memorial Day Weekend!!

This is at the West Palm Beach Zoo. I can't believe how BIG Gavin looks in this picture. You can thank Jonathan for him not having any shoes on. He forgot them in the car. But that would not stop Gavin from running around and having a blast. It looks like one of the Monkey's escaped!!

This picture is priceless. If there is one thing this kid hates, its water splashing him in the face. He caught himself off guard when he walked into this water stream.

Slumber party at Grandpa Ray's house!!

We took Gavin down to Palm Beach. He LOVES playing in the sand, he could spend the whole day there. Its a good thing he likes the sand more than the water because it was pretty cold. From just one day in the sun he went from Vanilla to Chocolate. Now he looks like a full-blooded Cuban!

The Newest Member of the Bori Family has Arrived!!!

Payson Gregory Bori was born May 21st at 12:45am. He came out weighing 6Lbs 10oz, and measuring 20in long. His real name should be Alexander the 2nd. They look just alike! He is as cute as a button with lots of hair! Sorry Grandpa, still no George the 3rd:( He just has to much hair to be called George hehehehehehehe...

We are so glad that he is finally here. He was a great Birthday present for Tatiana! If he would have waited a few more days she would have had him on her B-day (or even Mine)!!

Alexander decided to take Gavin on a tricycle ride. It was the cutest thing ever!! We just had to run after Alexander to make sure Gavin did not take a back dive off the bike!

Gavin just turned One on May 4Th!! He had a great party with all his friends and family! He had a blast from what it looked like. He took on his cake like a little champ. It took two days just to get all the icing out of his nose hehehe. Gavin had a blast going down the slide with Grandpa George and Alexander!! He loves all his presents! Thank you to everyone for them!!

Well, guys we finally created a blog. So in WWW lingo I am now a Blogger!! I am sure this blog will be a lot more interesting and have more personality once I read Blogging for Dummies. I didn't realize how much work it was. So just hang in there while I figure it all out!

I am excited to share with all of you the progress of our growing family. For those that did not know, we are expecting our second child. I am due on November 4Th. Gavin and the new baby will be exactly 18 months apart. We will be finding out what this lemon sized alien is on June 11Th. We hope for a girl because they are fun to dress up. But we would love a boy so Gavin can have a brother as a best friend and plus it would be a lot cheaper.

I'll need to catch you up on the past few very exciting events in Gavin's little life!! I would love to start back from his birth, but I just don't have that kind of time and energy.
